God's heart and desire for you is that you would accept His son, Jesus Christ, as your Lord and Savior. We call this "salvation." Perhaps you have heard it described as being "saved." Water baptism identifies you with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It signifies the death of your old life and marks your new identity in Him. It is also a public declaration of your new birth and faith in the finished work of Jesus!
